I stood face to face with King Kraków and the Wawel Dragon. The new exhibition "Międzymurze" at Wawel

"Międzymurze. Podziemia Wawelu" is a new permanent exhibition at the Wawel Royal Castle, which will delight both history buffs and those who like to fantasize a bit.
From May 23, when visiting the Wawel Royal Castle, you can take part in an amazing multimedia spectacle, which is undoubtedly the new permanent exhibition entitled "Międzymurze. Podziemia Wawelu" (Intermuren. Underground of Wawel) .
I had the pleasure of seeing it during a presentation for journalists and with a clear conscience I can recommend it both to those interested in all the historical and architectural curiosities , as well as to families for whom attractions and multimedia novelties are also important. And there is no shortage of those!

However, before the tour began, a chat with the journalists was held by… King Krak himself.
- Have you ever wondered what it would be like if I wasn't here? You have it all thanks to me! - he said.
The King also mentioned to us that he had brought order and tidiness to Poland , although... he had to force a few people to do so. But what wouldn't you do for the greater good ? The short conversation was a great introduction to further sightseeing.

Multimedia history lesson- People don't need truth. People need fairy tales. And I gave them this fairy tale. History? History is a matter of interpretation, and interpretation depends on... the King! - said King Krak .
Then, together with a group of journalists, we went underground.
The entire exhibition is divided into three parts. In the first one we learned about the history of Krakow , the Wawel fortifications and had an archeology lesson, and the acquisition of knowledge was aided by multimedia presentations and phenomenal lighting direction . It must also be admitted that the underground path leading through the underground of Wawel Hill looks phenomenal and you can feel here like in a Fantasy film. All you have to do is put on your armor and go after the Dragon!

In the second part we could admire, among others, utility pottery and other archaeological relics found by research teams on the Hill . This segment will definitely delight those who have a passion for history and archaeology more. But don't worry, all those who prefer fireworks and new technologies will still have a grand grande finale .

The third part is an amazing visual show displayed on the wall right next to the entrance through which Ambroży Grabowski , one of its first researchers, entered the Dragon's Den in the 1840s.
It is here that we learn the legend of the famous dragon , but in a different, much darker version than the one everyone knows. Importantly, the legend according to Wincenty Kadłubek is told to us by Wiktor Zborowski himself, and so that no one accuses me of significant spoilers, I will only say that you will not hear about the shoemaker Dratewka here...

The visualizations are incredibly impressive, and when the Wawel Dragon itself flies up the wall... it's hard to pass by indifferently.
The "Międzymurze" exhibition is an ideal proposition for everyone interested in history , as well as for families with children . The former will learn many interesting facts during the tour, while parents can be sure that their children will not be bored here. And the meeting with the dragon... Unforgettable! Are you going to Krakow ? You have to experience it!
